When John Paulsrud showed me a picture he took of the fire on the dirt floor of the home where we delivered and assembled a high efficiency wood burning stove, I suddenly felt deep compassion. The poverty is mind boggling and yet these Mayan people are so kind and hardworking. What a joy to be serving them in the love of Christ. A great beginning to a wonder filled week.
